Painting a picture of your boat involves several steps which I will outline below
- Meeting together , at no cost, to discuss the idea for the painting and get a rough estimate.
- If we proceed from there I will need your personal photos of the boat and I will want to see the boat and take my own pictures.
- At that point I will make sketches of the boat and show you my ideas. If you like the idea I will give you a firm price for the work and get a 33% down payment.
- From then on I will proceed to paint the portrait. As it approaches completion I will bring you in for a critique. You are invited to honestly give your opinion and I will make every effort to paint the boat in a way that is satisfying to you. If after several tries you are not happy with the paintng I will refund half your downpayment and the process will stop. I will keep the painting.
- When the painting is done we can talk about framing which is seperate. You can have it framed elsewhere or I can do that for you.

For those who happen to live out of Homer, Alaska and would like to have a boat portrait done, I can work exclusively from your photos. I will always want to paint your boat in a location that suits you as well. So you can send shots of places you really love and that can give me a good background composition.
